I have so many great patterns in my arsenal starting from the 1920s; each one carries a bit of history and inspiration. The pattern I used for this blouse is from the 1980s—an era I don’t usually gravitate toward, but this particular design caught my eye. It balances the boldness typical of the decade with a softer, wearable shape, so the finished blouse feels both vintage and surprisingly modern. Made with a soft and beathable cotton lawn and trimmed with silk, this blouse gives an up-scale feel. I enjoyed blending the pattern’s original details with updated fabric and subtle tailoring to make it feel like a piece that fits into my wardrobe perfectly.
